OGATA Paris
is inviting Kaaron Studio to showcase sculptures and lighting across the three levels of the building. These sculptures are made of raw earth, providing a contemporary reinterpretation of an ancient material. Disseminated throughout the spaces of this former hôtel particulier, these pieces engage in a profound dialogue with the different materials that structure OGATA’s space: 17th-century stone, wood (burnt, hammered, chiselled), copper, earth and concrete. This relationship between the building and the sculptures creates an effect that is at times mirror-like, at other times trompe-l’œil, giving the building’s structure a new vibrancy, revealing its know-how and inviting contemplation.
